The majority of Christians believe they accepted Jesus into their lives, to go to church, seek earthly miracles and stay out of hell!
John 19:30, "It is finished."
John 16:7, It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but I will send him to you if I go.
Acts 1:8, You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses … to the ends of the earth.
To accept Jesus in your life means for you to fulfill on earth that which Jesus finished on the cross.
When Jesus shed his blood on the cross, He allowed everyone not to perish but have eternal life. Your responsibility is to bring this message to light by sharing this Good News with the world.
Philemon 1:6, I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith so that you will have a complete understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
The more you share your faith, the more you activate your faith.
John 14:12-14, I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.
He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. So you may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
Sharing your faith causes your faith level to rise towards the manifestation of what you have believed.
Jesus said, "you may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it" because after you begin to do the works I have been doing, your faith level will start to rise to what you are asking.
Again, Jesus finished his part when He shed his blood on the cross. He allowed everyone not to perish but have eternal life. You accept Jesus in your life to go and tell the world this Good News. How will the world know, "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" if you do not tell them?
Romans 10:9-10, If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Accepting Jesus into your heart is half the journey. Accepting Jesus into your heart only justifies you.
However, with your mouth, you confess "Jesus is Lord" and are saved.
